Our Mission
The Anchor Project is a 9-month initiative designed to uplift teen fathers by providing holistic support, essential life skills, job readiness, and emotional growth. We prepare them for fatherhood and personal success through hands-on education, mentorship, and opportunity.
The Hard Truth
Teen dads are less likely to finish high school than their peers...
Teen fathers face a lack of teen parent programs to help them...
Young fathers are more likely to have economic and employment challenges and are more often economically disadvantaged than adult fathers...
What we offer
Healthcare & Infant Care – "Healthy Start"
This track equips teen fathers with essential knowledge in infant care, child development, and family health. Through hands-on learning and expert guidance, participants gain confidence in caring for their child’s physical and emotional well-being. When participants are finished with the following track, they will be CPR/AED certified, have knowledge of basic infant emergency care (Heimlich maneuver/ Choking care) and child growth management (teething, colic and rashes etc)
Entrepreneurship – "Boss Moves"
"Boss Moves" empowers young dads to turn ideas into income. This track covers business basics, side hustles, branding, and budgeting—all geared toward creating sustainable, self-driven success. When participants are finished with the following track, they will have foundational knowledge of how businesses originate and function. This track will best benefit those participants who have an entrepreneurial desire and sincere interest in ownership or self-employment.
Mentorship – "Guided Growth"
Through "Guided Growth," participants connect with experienced mentors who offer guidance, encouragement, and real-world advice. This supportive network fosters accountability, self-worth, and personal development. As participants journey through this track, they will be paired with a successful teenage father and an older mentor who has either completed this program or is modeling the ideals and values of this program. This will provide the participant with needed support and accountability beyond the length of the program.
Financial Literacy – "Stacks & Strategy"
Money smarts meet real-life application in "Stacks & Strategy." This track teaches budgeting, saving, credit building, and smart decision-making to help fathers build a stable financial future. When participants are finished with the following track, they will have basic financial literacy knowledge, budgeting basics and entry level understanding of credit, taxes, insurance and retirement/savings.
